BER is 'World’s Most Improved Airport 2025'
Quality improvement in service and passenger experience

Berlin Brandenburg Airport has been honoured with the title “World’s Most Improved Airport” at this year’s World Airport Awards in Madrid on 9 April. The award is presented annually by the international aviation rating agency, Skytrax, to the airport that has made the greatest progress in the areas of service quality, passenger satisfaction and operational efficiency compared to the previous year.

Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “This award means a lot to us. It is the result of the tireless efforts of everyone at BER, who is committed to continuously improving the travel experience for our passengers. The fact that our progress is now being recognised internationally fills us with pride and motivates us to continue along this path.”

The World Airport Awards are considered the most important awards in the global airport industry. They are based on the world’s largest independent passenger survey, in which millions of passengers from over 100 nations rate their experiences at more than 565 airports every year. For the 2025 award, ratings were collected between August 2024 and February 2025. BER scored particularly well for improvements in the quality of the passenger experience, the range of services and handling.
