Technisches Facility Management

The dual study program offers the opportunity to acquire not only an academic degree but also sound practical knowledge with one of the largest employers in the region.

In addition to basic business management content, the focus of this technical degree program is on the operation, maintenance and optimization of buildings, technical facilities and equipment at airports. Increasingly, FM customers expect this to improve the sustainability of the infrastructural facility and its operator processes.

  • General university entrance qualification or entrance qualification for a university of applied sciences,

During your dual study program at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, you will support the company's core processes by taking care of the planning, operation and management of buildings and facilities. Your goal is to make their use as efficient as possible. During your practical assignments, you will learn how to design sustainable building operations in a way that promotes productivity, optimizes resources and protects the environment, and how to manage their implementation. You will work in numerous areas of airport facility management and gain a comprehensive insight into the holistic operation of infrastructure.

During the first four practical phases, you will write three practical reports and a student research project. At the end of your training, you will complete a bachelor's thesis. The topic is determined in consultation with the training company.

The practical part is complemented by classes at the Berlin School of Economics and Law. You can find out more about the content of the theoretical studies on the university's website.
