We have been training around 25 young people every year since 1992. This has made us a successful and experienced training company. We have already been able to congratulate the national best air traffic clerk twice as well as several chamber bests in our other apprenticeship professions. Our trainees can draw on the extensive and well-founded specialist knowledge they have acquired during their training with us. We also see our apprentices as the next generation of the company. It is therefore important to us that they pass through the various departments in order to get to know the many facets of an airport operation. This promotes company-wide or even cross-company networking as well as helpful contact and exchange opportunities. Particular additional highlights during training include the introductory course, the trainee trip and the trainee party, which is organized by the trainees themselves.
You have the opportunity to choose between a variety of commercial, industrial-technical or security-related training professions. The theoretical training takes place in block instruction with a total of 13 weeks per training year at a secondary school in Berlin or Brandenburg.During the vocational training you complete the practical training at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. Depending on the type of training, you will gain an insight into tasks typical of the profession and gain exciting experience in a wide range of areas at the airport. With the three-year training for commercial trainees and the three-and-a-half-year training for industrial-technical trainees, you will acquire the IHK vocational qualification after passing the examinations.
You are a theoretical practitioner? Perfect! Then a dual study program combined with practical work experience at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH is the right choice for you. Every three months, you will complete a science-related course of study at a university and study-related practical assignments at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. During this time, you will have a training relationship with Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH. After successful completion of your dual studies, you will receive a bachelor's degree. Depending on your field of study, you will then be awarded a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering degree. For more information, you can also contact the Berlin School of Economics and Law and the TH Wildau directly.
That is not a problem. You can fill out the application form for several apprenticeships. It is important to us that you emphasize why you would like to learn the respective profession and see yourself as suitable. It is therefore not recommended to use the same cover letter for several professions.
You can attach three 4 MB files to each application.
Of course, your data will only be processed and used for the application.

As we have to follow high security standards at the airport, a security check is carried out for every new trainee/dual student. An examination by our company doctor is also required before the start of training.
Trainees and dual students are supervised by our trainers. The training officers in the individual departments are responsible for you. FBB also has a mentoring program. Here, a trainee/student from the year above you will be there to support you. If you have any problems or questions, you can also contact our youth and trainee representatives (JAV) at any time.
During your training/dual study program at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, you will gain insights into the company departments relevant to your training/study program. These are coordinated with the contents of the theoretical training. You can find possible areas of work under the current training and study opportunities.
FBB's headquarters is the administrative building in Schoenefeld, where most of the commercial training takes place. Operational assignments for the aviation commercial trainees are directly at the airport. The training workshop for the technical trainees is located at the BER site.
The weekly working time at FBB is 38.5 hours. This corresponds to a daily working time of 7.7 hours plus a 30-minute lunch break (minors 60 minutes). The majority of our employees work flexitime, which allows them to schedule their working hours flexibly. The distribution of working hours is based on the work rhythm of the respective area.
Trainees and dual students are entitled to 27 vacation days per year.
The training begins with two introductory weeks, during which you get to know your working environment as well as the other new trainees and dual students from your year.
