Initially, your training will form the interface between mechanics and electronics. You will be taught mechanical, electrical and electronic skills and abilities so that you can use them later in a targeted manner. The training is rounded off with the basic firefighting training course, which will enable you to work in our airport fire department.

You start on August 1.

The vocational training is carried out as initial training and lasts 4 ½ years, but can be shortened to 4 years with very good performance.

During your two-year basic training as a mechatronics technician, you will gain an insight into a wide range of mechanical and electronic components and complex mechatronic systems.

In the last 18 months of the 3.5-year mechatronics training program, you will get to know various technical areas of the company and get your first taste of firefighting. You will then complete a year of basic firefighting training with the airport fire department. 

Your training will be rounded off by classes at the Eduard-Maurer-Oberstufenzentrum.
