Application tips

Tips around your application

Your application documents are your business card and give those responsible at the company a first impression of you as a person. It is therefore all the more important to score points with the documents you submit. Here you will find a few small tips that can help you with the preparation of your application documents.

  • Your cover letter should not be too long (max. one DIN A4 page). Try to include only the important facts relevant to the respective profession/study.
  • Write the cover letter individually for the selected company.
  • Stand out from the crowd! Always remember that you want to convince us of your strengths.
  • Have someone proofread so that you can exclude spelling mistakes.

Your resume gives us a more detailed overview of your educational background, skills, abilities, and accumulated experience.

Here's how you might structure your resume:

  1. Personal data: Contact details, date and place of birth, nationality.
  2. School career: schools attended, (expected) school-leaving qualifications
  3. Practical experience: Internships, continuing education, work experience
  4. Skills: IT, languages, driver's license, etc.

Additional: hobbies, projects, honorary posts

Selection day timetable

First, we will welcome you and the other applicants and introduce you to the selection day process.
In a theoretical test, we want to find out where your professional strengths and skills lie. In the recruitment test, we only ask you about topics that you have already learned at school. For the business people and students of the dual study program, these include the areas of mathematics, English, general knowledge, geography and German. Technicians are tested in a "slimmed-down" English section, physics, mathematics and German.
In the context of group work, we want to see how you work in a team, how you approach a wide variety of tasks and how you find solutions.
If you were able to convince us in the previous steps, we would now like to get to know you in a personal interview, find out how you assess yourself, where you see your strengths and weaknesses and why you have chosen FBB.
