Questions and answers

around compulsory internships and theses

Are you interested in a compulsory internship or a thesis in our company? Here you will find some information about the topic.

If you are interested in a compulsory internship in our company, please send an e-mail to the address karriere@berlin-airport.de with your application documents.

Please note that due to the high safety regulations, a lead time of approx. 2-3 months is necessary.

As there are different conditions of the respective training institutions, the general conditions are individual.

Please note that we only offer compulsory internships and no voluntary internships.

If you are interested in writing a thesis, please apply with your application documents by email at Karriere@berlin-airport.de

Please note that a lead time of approximately two to three months is necessary due to the high safety regulations.

Final theses are always closely supervised by the department. Colleagues will actively support you with their knowledge and know-how.

You should already know the topic in advance and have thought about it.

In order to get an impression of you, we need a short cover letter, your CV, certificates and a matriculation certificate. In addition, proof that the internship/master's thesis is necessary as part of your training/studies. Please state in your cover letter your desired area / topic of the Master's thesis, the time and duration of your assignment. This will enable us to check a possible assignment more quickly.

If you apply on your own initiative as a compulsory intern / master's student, the recruiters will check a possible assignment. The documents are forwarded to the departments that correspond to the desired area / topic of the Master's thesis. The departments check whether an assignment and professional supervision is possible during the specified period. If this is the case, the colleagues from Recruiting will contact you and arrange an appointment with you. In a personal interview, professional and personal questions will be asked in order to get to know you a little better. Within two weeks of your interview, the recruiter will contact you with either an interim report or a final decision.

If the decision is in your favour, we will pass the documents on to the works council for co-determination. This usually takes two weeks. At the same time, we initiate the background check process and pass the documents on to our colleagues in HR for the preparation of your employment contract.
