Student trainees

Questions and answers

around the working student job

Are you interested in working as a student trainee at our company? Here you will find some information about the topic.

In our job portal you will find all currently vacant positions as working student. Please note that internships and theses are not advertised there. You can find the application procedure here

We offer you the practice to go with your theory. With us, you will be involved in the daily work. For 20 hours a week (up to 40 hours during semester breaks), you will support the departments in their daily challenges and be given your own initial projects. Your colleagues at FBB will take the time to familiarise you with the processes and conditions at FBB and let you share in their professional and personal know-how. You will also have the opportunity to take part in internal training courses. Your time is freely selectable in the flexitime model.

If you are applying for a position as a working student , please enclose a short cover letter, a CV, your matriculation certificate and your current overview of grades from your studies. If you have already worked as a student trainee or intern, please also enclose these references. You can find a few tips on the subject of cover letters, CVs and references in our "Your application" section.

Once you have applied for an advertised position as a working student (m/f/d) via our job portal, the application process begins.

The documents will be forwarded by the respective recruiter to the relevant department, which will now make the selection as to whether you will be invited for an interview. The recruiting colleagues will contact you and arrange an appointment with you.

In a personal interview, professional as well as personal questions will be asked in order to get to know you a little better.

Within two weeks after your interview, the recruiter will contact you to give you either an interim report or a final decision.

If the decision is in your favour, we will pass the documents on to the works council for co-determination. This usually takes two weeks. At the same time, we initiate the background check process and pass the documents on to our colleagues in HR for the preparation of your employment contract.
