Field report

I decided to do the apprenticeship because I have always been interested in everything technical, especially in the direction of electronics, and I imagined the training and work at the airport to be very exciting.

Even in the basic training in the 1st year of my apprenticeship, I learned the basics of electrical engineering, from the smallest circuits of digital technology, to installation technology and the control of electric motors. In addition, there were always exciting projects on the agenda, whether it was troubleshooting assemblies or building a power supply myself. I also really liked the fact that you usually work in a team with other trainees, which strengthens team spirit and is also a lot more fun.

The basic training was followed by a rotation phase through the TI41 Service and Support department. During this period, I worked in the media and security systems, LAN, help desk, telecommunications systems and network infrastructure teams. In addition, I gained insights into incident and customer management. During this time, I gained an exciting insight into the systems and tasks of all teams and realized where my interests lay.

What I liked most about my apprenticeship was that there is always something new to discover, the working atmosphere is very good and you can always take on new challenges.
