Your training will focus on maintaining security at our airport locations. In particular, you will be responsible for preventive emergency response, assessing potential hazards, and initiating and monitoring security measures to protect the airport site and its employees, passengers, and visitors.

  • Minimum age of 18 years (at the start of training),
  • successfully completed school education (at least vocational training maturity),
  • good academic performance, especially in the subjects German, English and sports,
  • Willingness to work in shifts and to wear uniforms,
  • willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and at all times of day,
  • physical fitness or physical and mental resilience,
  • Class B driver's license.

You start on August 1.

The vocational training is offered as initial training and lasts 3 years.

During your training, you will learn all the relevant legal principles, documentation and communication channels for security services and regularly apply them yourself as part of your practical training at Airport Security.

Together with your colleagues in the Airport Security Control Center, you will monitor events in security-critical areas of the airport site. You carry out patrols and monitor compliance with the regulations and established procedures that apply at the airport.

In the event of an incident, you will learn to act in accordance with the specifications of the airport emergency plan, to initiate, implement and accompany initial measures.In doing so, you will work closely with the police authorities and the fire department.

You will also gain insight into operational visitor management, and create and check security passes. Your duties will also include investigating, clarifying and documenting security-related issues.

You will have the opportunity to take part in regular training courses with your colleagues in airport security and to continuously develop your skills.

The practical part is rounded off by lessons at the Hans-Litten School, the upper level center for law and economics in Berlin.
