Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH today sold its last space in the Business Park Berlin. The purchase agreement for a 63-hectare site was signed today with the British real estate company SEGRO. In order to ensure that all interested companies were targeted, FBB had exclusively commissioned the real estate service provider Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) to conduct a structured bidding process. According to JLL, this is one of the largest land transactions in Germany in 2021. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
SEGRO, one of Europe's most renowned project developers for business parks and logistics properties, already acquired 38 hectares in the Business Park Berlin from the airport company in 2008. SEGRO built modern and sustainable commercial units there for currently around 70 tenants from the distribution, retail, service and light industrial sectors. A broad mix of industries is already located there, from medical technology to yacht and aircraft outfitting, transport and logistics companies to traditional trades. SEGRO will continue its successful concept at the location in the coming years and further develop the site with the recent acquisition of the land. Additional light-industrial space, the creation of urban last-mile offerings, office and service space, and the establishment of gastronomy offerings are planned.
The Business Park Berlin was developed in cooperation with the district of Treptow-Köpenick into one of the largest contiguous commercial areas in Berlin. With its location directly on the B96a trunk road and connections to the A113 and A117 motorways, as well as an S-Bahn connection within walking distance, it has excellent transport links. Berlin Brandenburg Airport can be reached in just a few minutes by car.
