The code contains rules for good and responsible corporate management and control. It is also intended to improve the transparency of the management and control system for the companies vis-à-vis the public. The code is a necessary element of precaution against undesirable economic developments in companies involved in the state.
The German Act on the Promotion of Pay Transparency between Women and Men (Transparency in Wage Structures Act – Entgelttransparenzgesetz – EntgTranspG) came into force in 2017.
