Lecture on the commissioning process

Yesterday evening it was that time again: more than 60 students from a wide range of disciplines from Berlin and Brandenburg gathered at BER for an event as part of Airport Campus.

Roland Böhm, Head of Infrastructure and Systems, gave a lecture on the topic “Commissioning of BER – How an airport came online under COVID-19 conditions”. In terms of content, the ORAT programme was presented under the influence of the pandemic and the resulting strategic changes in implementation.

Afterwards, the students had the opportunity to get to know BER on a guided tour on land, including a view of the apron from the visitors’ terrace.

The event concluded with a relaxed get-together at Deli Berlin directly on Willy-Brandt-Platz, where the students and speakers were able to engage in conversation with drinks and snacks.

About Airport Campus

Airport Campus was launched in November 2008. Since then, it has hosted 63 lectures and received around 4,000 students. In 2018, Airport Campus celebrated its 10th anniversary as an event format with a panel discussion!
