Kick-off of the development of the site at the former Schönefeld Airport

Three renowned architecture and planning offices will participate in the re-use of the northern airport site at BER’s former Terminal 5. For this purpose, the airport company has launched an ideas competition that explicitly includes the terminal building. The aim is to create an innovative and sustainable area on the 37-hectare site of the former Berlin-Schönefeld Airport. COBE Berlin, FABRICations Amsterdam and MLA+ Rotterdam – Berlin are participating in the competition. The results will be presented at the end of the year.
