Skaby (Spreenhagen) Aircraft Noise Measurement

From 4 July to 3 August 2023, the mobile measuring station of FBB was located in the municipality of Spreenhagen, in the settlement of Skaby. The aircraft noise measurements showed a continuous aircraft noise level of 35.9 dB(A) during the day and 29.8 dB(A) at night.

Westbound landings and eastbound take-offs from the southern runway could be measured at Skaby. The landings produced a mean maximum level of 57 dB(A) and the take-offs a mean maximum level of 59 dB(A).

The continuous sound levels are important, among other things, for determining the limit values when it comes to guaranteeing noise protection measures: rooms used at night are protected from a continuous sound level of 50 dB(A), rooms used during the day from 60 dB(A).

All measured values were well below the limits of entitlement to noise protection or compensation measures.
