Welcome to BER! easyJet received its 400th Airbus today. The A321neo’s maiden flight took off from the Airbus production plant in Hamburg-Finkenwerder and flew to BER, where it is now being prepared for commercial service in the easyJet maintenance hangar and will then be transferred to the easyJet Europe fleet. The new aircraft has a special livery – a distinctive 400 – which is made up of lots of small aircraft pictograms.

With this 400th Airbus, easyJet demonstrates that the airline is continuously modernising its fleet and using more efficient and quieter aircraft. For example, easyJet used an SAF mix (sustainable aviation fuel) for the first time in Germany on the ferry flight from Hamburg-Finkenwerder to BER.

The easyJet maintenance hangar, where the new Airbus is now being prepared for use in regular flight operations, was put into operation in January 2023 and maintains the airline’s entire European fleet. easyJet makes a significant contribution to the connectivity of the capital region thanks to its extensive route network from BER.
