New security service provider at BER
Kötter to take over part of the security controls for employees and goods
From 1 July, Berlin Brandenburg Airport has commissioned Kötter Aviation Security SE & Co. KG with the controls for employees and goods at entrances to the aviation security area at BER. Security controls for passengers and the security of the airport premises are not affected. The new contract will see Kötter Aviation Security seamlessly take over the tasks and capacities from the previous service provider.
With Kötter Aviation Security SE & Co. KG, BER has gained a company with extensive experience and the necessary capacities in airport security services.
In addition to the airport company's own security staff, two security service providers at BER control employees and delivered goods at the access control points to the aviation security area. On 17 June, the airport company terminated the contract with one of the external companies with effect from 30 June due to non-payment of wages.
