Three long-haul routes to the USA

Welcome! The long-haul specialist airline Norse Atlantic Airways now connects BER non-stop with the USA. The airline departs daily for New York JFK Airport on the US East Coast and three times a week for Los Angeles on the US West Coast. From 7 December 2022, Norse Atlantic Airways will also fly three times a week to Fort Lauderdale in Florida. In doing so, Norse Atlantic Airways will be the largest provider of long-haul flights at BER. Modern, spacious Boeing 787 Dreamliners, which seat 338 passengers, are used for the connections.

The new long-haul routes boost connectivity and, therefore, the attractiveness of BER. New York, Los Angeles and soon Fort Lauderdale are not just alluring holiday destinations – fast, direct and reliable scheduled flights are an important basis for the diverse connections between the capital region and the USA. Therefore, the new long-haul routes will bring important economic momentum to the region. The capital region’s direct networking with important metropolitan regions in the USA benefits not only tourism but also the economy in Berlin and Brandenburg. 

Using easyJet’s “Worldwide” platform, travellers can connect flights from both airlines via BER. Passengers of both airlines can independently book seamless transfers from short-haul to long-haul and vice versa via the digital booking system, which is based on technology from the Icelandic company dohop.
