Business Park Berlin

Business Park Berlin has been in gradual and demand-driven development by the airport company in cooperation with the district of Treptow-Köpenick since 2005 to become one of the largest contiguous business parks in Berlin. In addition to procuring planning permission and developing the entire site, the project focused on marketing ready-to-develop plots. All development activities at Business Park Berlin are being carried out in three autarkic construction phases. The first two development phases were financially supported using public funds provided by the Joint Task for the “Improvement of Regional Economic Structures” (GRW) and have already been completed. 

Even before BER opened, the airport company succeeded in selling individual construction plots totalling 60 ha to investors who have established different uses there and contributed to a broad mix of industries. In December 2021, the airport company sold its last space in Business Park Berlin to the British property company SEGRO, which is putting the third development phase into effect. The site’s convenient location and the variable available space have meant that the project has now been successfully completed. It was one of the largest real estate transactions in Germany in 2021.
