The airport company has successfully implemented numerous projects in cooperation with third parties in the airport’s immediate and wider vicinity. Furthermore, over 100 hectares of commercial real estate have been sold to investors, which had previously been developed by the airport company ready for construction.

Business Park Berlin has been developed by the airport company in cooperation with the district of Treptow-Köpenick since 2005 to become one of the largest contiguous business parks in Berlin. Even before the opening of BER it has been possible to market and build on around 60 of the total 109 hectares. In December 2021, the airport company sold its last space in Business Park Berlin to the British real estate company SEGRO. It was one of the largest real estate transactions in Germany in 2021.
