Last night, approximately 50 students from various fields of study at universities in Berlin and Brandenburg gathered at BER for the 67th event in the airport's lecture series "Airport Campus." Following a welcome by Michael Halberstadt, Managing Director of Human Resources at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB), Andreas Deckert, Head of Aviation at FBB, provided the students with exciting insights into the highly complex ground handling operations and operational management of BER. In addition to discussing digital innovations at the airport, he introduced the Airport Control Center (ACC) as the central coordination point for all operational processes.
After the lecture, the students had the opportunity to explore BER through a guided tour, get a view of the apron from the observation deck, and engage in conversation during the concluding get-together.
