Sponsorship and donations

As part of its work in the surrounding area, Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH has been actively supporting associations, schools, daycare centres, social projects and cultural events in the region surrounding Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) for years. One component of the regional commitment is the financial support of projects and organisations in the form of sponsorship or donations. Potential recipients of sponsorship and donations must submit a written application for support to the airport company and present the project or plan to be funded. Until now, there has been a fixed deadline per calendar year for submitting applications.

For the first time, there will be two deadlines for 2025 by which applications for support can be submitted:

• 31 December 2024
• 30 June 2025

Applications for support for projects or initiatives to be implemented in the following half-year can be submitted up to the respective deadlines.

Examples:
A support association for a daycare centre wants to purchase new play equipment for the daycare centre in March 2025 and needs financial support for this. In this case, the application must be submitted by 31 December 2024 at the latest.

A sports club is planning a training camp for the youth team during the autumn holidays of 2025 and needs financial support for this. In this case, the application must be submitted by 30 June 2025 at the latest.

As a general rule, a maximum of one project or initiative per calendar year will be supported per applicant institution.

To be considered in the selection process, please note the following:

• Applications must be submitted in writing and by the deadline. Please use our application form (de) for this purpose and send it, fully completed, by email to umlandarbeit@berlin-airport.de.
• Please ensure that the documents submitted are complete (e.g. current proof of non-profit status) and that any obligations from previous funding periods have been fulfilled (e.g. submission of donation receipts or proof of the provision of sponsorship services from existing or expired contractual relationships).
