From August 1 to September 2, 2024, the mobile measurement station of the airport company (FBB) was located on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße in Schulzendorf. The noise measurements showed an average daytime continuous sound level of 46.5 dB(A) and a nighttime level of 38.6 dB(A).
In Schulzendorf, the measurements mainly recorded landing approaches to the south runway from the west. These approaches generated an average maximum noise level of 60 dB(A). Take-offs to the east were also recorded, with take-offs from the south runway on the 15-degree departure route generating an average maximum noise level of 72 dB(A).
The continuous sound levels are important for determining thresholds related to noise protection measures: Rooms used at night must be protected if the continuous sound level exceeds 50 dB(A), and rooms used during the day must be protected if the continuous sound level exceeds 60 dB(A).
All measured values were well below the thresholds for noise protection or compensation measures.
