FBB takes part in the cultural festival in Bayangol Park and the “Day of Sport” in Rangsdorf

Last Saturday, July 19, 2025, the municipality of Schönefeld celebrated its 650th anniversary and 27 years of friendship with the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. The celebration took place in Bayangol Park in Schönefeld and offered visitors a varied journey through Schönefeld's history and Mongolian culture. The festival was accompanied by a colorful program and a variety of activities for the whole family.

The venue was chosen deliberately, as there is a close partnership between the municipality of Schönefeld and the Bayangol district in Ulaanbaatar. The venue was chosen deliberately, as there is a close partnership between the municipality of Schönefeld and the Bayangol district in Ulaanbaatar.

At the opening of the festival, the mayor of Schönefeld Christian Hentschel and the Mongolian ambassador Birvaa Mandakhbileg welcomed all guests from near and far with a festive anniversary ceremony. In addition, insights into Mongolian culture were provided through traditional performances such as wrestling, archery and the skill game shagai.

The neighborhood team was also actively involved on this day. With our popular BER bouncy castle and an information stand, we were available to answer questions about BER and the services offered by Umlandarbeit. In addition to the anniversary celebrations on July 19 in Schönefeld, we also helped organize the “Day of Sports” in Rangsdorf a week earlier, on July 11. This took place as part of the celebrations for the 650th anniversary of the municipality. Mayor Klaus Rocher also visited our stand and was delighted with our commitment to our neighborhood.

After the festival is before the festival: we are already looking forward to further 650th anniversary celebrations and events, including in Bohnsdorf and Schulzendorf, which are planned for September 2025 in our neighborhood.
