Special nighttime survey flights by German Air Traffic Control (DFS) have been announced at BER for calendar week 21.
This involves a drone survey that is to be conducted every 180 days at BER to supplement the instrument landing system (ILS) survey. During these flights, the drone will perform vertical ascents approximately one kilometer before the thresholds of all runways. The drone will fly at a maximum altitude of 150 meters, and the survey per runway direction will take about 20 minutes.
No noise disturbances are expected outside the airport grounds.
