BER and its surrounding region are closely connected. Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) sees itself as an active partner of the region and supports institutions and associations in the fields of sport, culture, education and social affairs. At the heart of this commitment is the aim of actively strengthening community life in the region and fostering a spirit of good neighbourliness.
To further deepen collaboration and personal dialogue with its partners, FBB hosted a joint exchange at BER to mark “Neighbourhood Day”. Around 35 representatives from various partner organisations accepted the invitation from FBB’s Regional Affairs Officer and gathered at the restaurant Landebahn 3.0, which, with its direct view of BER’s northern runway, provided a distinctive setting for the event. In addition to exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into airport operations, participants had the opportunity to network and share their experiences.
Axel Eschment, Chief Human Resources Officer at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH:
“The close ties between the airport and the region are also reflected in our regional engagement, through which we aim to strengthen social initiatives and community cohesion. Our partners, such as municipalities and associations, make an especially significant contribution in this regard. Today’s event is also an opportunity for us to express our gratitude for the trusting cooperation and to recognise the remarkable commitment of people in the region.”
