New flights with Volotea from BER
to Verona and Lyon
The Spanish airline Volotea will be taking off from Berlin Brandenburg Airport in 2023 and flying passengers from the capital region directly to two popular European city destinations. Starting on 26 May 2023, there will be two flights a week from BER to Verona in northern Italy. Lyon, the third-largest city in France, will be served directly from BER twice a week from 12 October 2023. This means two more attractive destinations on the flight schedule. Tickets are already available now.
Verona is one of the most beautiful cities in Italy and can look back on a long history. The picturesque city centre, historical monuments and charming architecture attract numerous tourists to the city every year. Nature lovers will get their money’s worth in the diverse landscape of Veneto. Lake Garda is only about 30 kilometres away from Verona.
Lyon is located in the south-east of France, in the historical Rhône-Alpes region of France, at the confluence of the Rhône and Saône rivers. The city was founded by the Romans over 2000 years ago, and its old town and part of Lyon peninsula are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Furthermore, Lyon is considered by many to be the capital of French cuisine.

Volotea was founded in Spain in 2011 and is one of the fastest growing airlines in Europe. The airline also has bases in France, Greece and Italy as well as Spain. This year Volotea is expanding into Germany. In addition to the two new routes from BER, the company has announced a sales partnership with Eurowings, therefore increasing the choice of European travel options for interested parties.
