Training Fair at the Airport
BER companies to present their career-start opportunities on 19 October 2023

Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, together with partner companies from BER and the surrounding area, is inviting school pupils and other interested parties to find out about the training and study opportunities that BER has to offer. On 19 October, the wide range of opportunities for starting a career at the airport will be presented at the “Training Day” (Tag der Ausbildung) from 9 am to 4 pm at ILA Hall A in Selchow (Schönefeld).

Whether technical, operational or commercial training or a dual study programme, BER offers many prospects for starting out in the working world after finishing school. In addition to the airport company, companies from the terminals as well as airlines, hotels, forwarders, neighbouring districts, chambers and authorities, such as the Federal Police, will present their training and study opportunities.

Michael Halberstadt, Chief Human Resources Officer at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “Training has a long tradition at the airport and at the airport company. BER Airport is more than just infrastructure; it’s an economic driver for the whole region and like a city in its own right. It not only offers airport-specific, entry-level employment opportunities, but also a wide range of exciting and challenging tasks in a unique atmosphere.”

In addition to information booths, there will also be an exhibition of airport fire service vehicles, airport security and a follow-me vehicle. Those interested can also watch landing and departing aircraft on BER’s adjacent southern runway. There will be supporting programme alongside the event with prizes to be won every hour in a tombola.

The fair can be reached by public transport. A free shuttle bus will be running every 15 minutes from 8.30 am until the end of the event from the Terminal 5/Schönefeld suburban railway (S-Bahn) station or from the Waßmannsdorf S-Bahn station directly in front of ILA Hall A. Food and drinks can be purchased on site from a food truck. Participation is possible without prior registration.
