Tbilisi is the economic and cultural centre of Georgia and offers travellers an exciting mix of tradition and modernity. The historic city lies along ancient east-west trade routes in the east of the country, picturesquely surrounded by the Caucasus Mountains. In addition to the picturesque Old Town with its colourful, sometimes somewhat crooked houses and small streets, the numerous sights include the Narikala Fortress, the 20-metre-high statue of Kartlis Deda (Mother of Georgia), the botanical garden and the spa district with its hot sulphur springs.
Tbilisi is the ideal starting point for discovering Georgia. The high mountains and impressive scenery of the Caucasus, picturesque mountain villages, magnificent beaches on the Black Sea and a number of historical sites offer a holiday and relaxation away from the crowds.
Eurowings flies from BER to more than 30 destinations all year round. With the new destination, the airline is further expanding its services at the capital airport. Eurowings’ winter flight schedule includes numerous winter destinations, city destinations and popular warm-weather destinations, such as the Canary Islands, Hurghada and Majorca.
