Eurowings is adding an attractive new winter destination to its schedule from BER just in time for the winter season: the airline now flies twice a week to Tromsø in northern Norway. The airline flies non-stop to “the capital of the Arctic” every Thursday and Sunday with an Airbus A320. The flight time is three hours. The flight leaves BER at 7.55 am every Thursday, arriving at Tromsø Airport at 10.55 am. The flight on Sunday is in the afternoon, taking off from BER at 3.35 pm and landing at 6.35 pm. Return flights from Tromsø are scheduled on Thursdays at 11.45 am and Sundays at 7.25 pm.
Tromsø is located 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle and is the largest city in northern Norway. As the gateway to the Arctic Ocean, the city, which is surrounded by picturesque fjords and snow-capped peaks, is an ideal starting point for discovering the Arctic by boat. The fascinating northern lights can be seen particularly intensely and frequently here thanks to its location beyond the Arctic Circle. Highlights in Tromsø itself include the Arctic Cathedral and the Polar Museum.
Eurowings flies from BER to more than 30 destinations all year round. With the new destination, the airline is further expanding its Northern Europe and winter services at the capital airport. In addition to Tromsø, Eurowings also offers direct connections to Copenhagen, Helsinki, Gothenburg and Stockholm. The airline will be flying a new route to Innsbruck in Austria from 23 December. Rovaniemi in Finland will be added as a further Northern European destination starting on 13 January 2024.
