1.48 million passengers travelled via BER in January 2024
Air freight is above the pre-corona figures

Around 1.48 million passengers were counted in January 2024, according to the preliminary figures in the traffic report. This corresponds to an increase of 12.8 per cent compared to January 2023, with approximately 1.31 million passengers. In January in the pre-pandemic year 2019, 2.42 million passengers travelled through the two airports Tegel and Schönefeld.

In January 2024, 11,980 aircraft movements were registered. Compared to the same month of the previous year, aircraft movements increased by 8.5 per cent: in January 2023, there were 11,046 aircraft movements. In January 2019, 22,317 aircraft movements were registered.

Around 2,860 tonnes of air cargo were loaded at BER in January 2024, around 17 per cent more than in the same month of the previous year and almost 8 per cent more than in the pre-corona year 2019.
