BER registers 2.56 million passengers in October
Strong travel traffic at the start of the fall holidays

Berlin Brandenburg Airport recorded rising passenger numbers with the autumn holidays in Berlin and Brandenburg. From Friday, October 18, 2024 to Sunday, November 3, 2024, Berlin Brandenburg Airport recorded 1.386 million passengers and 9,007 flight movements. In October 2024 overall, 2.56 million passengers travelled via BER. This corresponds to an increase of 8.6 percent compared to October 2023 with around 2.36 million passengers. The highest traffic day was the start of the vacation travel season on October 18 with 98,314 passengers.

A total of 21.62 million passengers were welcomed at BER this year from January to October, which corresponds to an increase of 10.6 per cent compared to the same period last year (19.55 million).

18,511 aircraft took off and landed at BER last month. This is 6.3 percent more than in October of the previous year. A total of around 3,788 tons of air freight were loaded at BER in October 2024. This corresponds to an increase of 22.0 percent compared to October 2023.
