easyJet now flies to Tromsø and Rovaniemi
Wish list campaign launched at BER

easyJet is offering two new destinations to the far north from BER this winter. The airline now flies to Tromsø in Norway twice a week. The connection is listed in BER’s flight schedule on Mondays and Fridays. Rovaniemi in Finland will be added as an exciting destination on 7 December. Similarly, flights will depart to the capital of Lapland twice a week, on Saturdays and Tuesdays.

Rovaniemi - Wish list to Santa Claus

Rovaniemi, located directly on the Arctic Circle, is famous for the Northern Lights, dog sledding and snow walks - but above all as the home of Santa Claus and the Santa Claus Village, which is open throughout the year. Santa also has his official post office here, where visitors can send letters with a special Arctic Circle postmark.

easyJet is offering a very special service up until 17 December. The Letters to Santa campaign gives families and children in the region the opportunity to send a letter or wish list directly to Santa Claus. Letters can be posted in the easyJet special letterbox set up for this purpose. It is located in the marketplace directly behind the security control in Terminal 1. Alternatively, letters can be handed in at the easyJet counter in the check-in hall in Terminal 1. The easyJet crew then flies Christmas post to Rovaniemi and hands it over personally.

Tromsø - gateway to the Arctic

The municipality of Tromsø, made up of the city and surrounding islands, offers Arctic experiences. The Northern Lights are particularly intense here, fjords are ideal for whale watching and the Lyngen Alps are perfect for ski tours.

easyJet is flying to numerous new destinations this winter. The airline has been flying to Agadir in Morocco, Lyon in France and again to Cairo in Egypt since November. Liverpool in the UK will return to BER’s flight schedule from 14 February 2025.
