SkyUp Airlines, a new airline at BER, is now connecting the airport with Chișinău, the capital of the Republic of Moldova. The new route will be flown twice a week, every Wednesday and Friday. The Wednesday flight departs from BER in the evening at 7:10 p.m. and arrives in Chișinău at 10:25 p.m. local time. On Fridays, the flight departs in the late afternoon at 4:40 p.m. and arrives at 7:55 p.m. The flight time is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The new flight connection is aimed at business travellers, tourists, and people with family roots in Moldova or Ukraine. Due to its geographical proximity to Ukraine, Chişinău offers Ukrainians in particular an alternative travel option.
Chișinău is still considered an insider tip, offering a fascinating blend of culture, history and a vibrant creative scene away from the usual tourist hotspots. Surrounded by picturesque vineyards, unspoilt villages and centuries-old monasteries, the region is the perfect place to enjoy authentic experiences in unspoilt nature.

SkyUp Airlines is an international carrier with Ukrainian roots that has been steadily growing in the aviation market for over seven years. In 2023, the airline obtained a Maltese Air Operator Certificate. SkyUp MT has been operating regular flights within the EU under a Maltese AOC, including the new connection between Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) and the Moldovan capital Chișinău. The airline uses Chișinău as a strategic hub for international connections, partly due to its proximity to Ukraine.
