No regular flights at BER on Wednesday
Ver.di has called on FBB staff to take part in a warning strike

On Wednesday, 18 March 2026, no scheduled passenger flights will be possible at Berlin Brandenburg Airport. The United Services Union ver.di has called on staff at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (FBB) to take part in a warning strike.

The airport company officially informed its partners, such as airlines, ground handling service providers, security companies, and local businesses, this afternoon. Passengers will be informed on the airport's website and social media channels.

Originally, around 445 departures and arrivals with approximately 57,000 passengers were scheduled for that day. Affected passengers are asked to contact their airline for information on rebooking and alternative travel options.

“We consider a warning strike disproportionate – especially in a situation already very tense due to the war in Iran,” commented Aletta von Massenbach, CEO of the airport company. “The next round of negotiations is already scheduled for March 25. We are confident that an agreement will be reached.”
