FBB Collective Bargaining Round 2026 
New collective agreement concluded for employees of the airport company

On 13 April 2026, representatives of the collective bargaining parties – the trade union ver.di, the employers’ association AWB and Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH – reached an agreement on a new collective agreement during the fourth round of negotiations. The agreement was confirmed yesterday by the bargaining committee.

The new remuneration collective agreement has a term from 1 March 2026 to 31 December 2027, with a total duration of 22 months. The key points of the agreement are as follows:

• With the salary payment in May 2026, employees will receive a one-off payment of EUR 100 for March and April 2026. Trainees will receive EUR 50.
• From May 2026, remuneration will increase by 2.50 per cent, with a minimum increase of EUR 115. For trainees, the increase amounts to EUR 55.
• From May 2027, a further remuneration increase of 2.20 per cent will apply; this also applies correspondingly to trainees.
• From July 2027, time-based allowances will be increased by five percentage points; this also applies accordingly to the flat-rate allowance for the airport fire brigade.
• The bargaining parties have also reached agreements on the collective agreement for the airport fire brigade and on the collective agreement for vocational training.

“We are pleased that we were able to reach agreement with ver.di on new collective agreements and thus avoid further industrial action for our passengers. The negotiated outcome brings about important improvements for employees and our trainees. At the same time, it provides the company with planning security through to the end of the following year,” commented Axel Eschment, the new Managing Director for Human Resources at FBB, on the outcome of the negotiations.
