Condor launches daily service to Abu Dhabi
New long-haul service for the capital region

Condor now operates daily flights from Berlin Brandenburg Airport to Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The airline is operating the flights to the Gulf region as a codeshare with Etihad Airways. This new long-haul route expands the range of services at BER to include a major hub linking Europe, Asia, and Africa. Travellers will benefit from daily direct flights to the Gulf region and seamless connections between the Condor and Etihad networks, for example to Bangkok in Thailand, Sydney in Australia, or Hanoi in Vietnam.

“The long-haul connection to Abu Dhabi improves the capital region’s international accessibility, and Etihad Airways’ hub opens up numerous additional travel and business opportunities to Asia and Australia. This benefits both the people and businesses in Berlin and Brandenburg, as well as international visitors to our region,” says Aletta von Massenbach, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH.

“Thanks to the daily service between Berlin and Abu Dhabi, we are expanding our long-haul network to include an important destination, while simultaneously strengthening the capital region’s international connections. The codeshare partnership with Etihad Airways means our guests not only have an attractive direct flight to Abu Dhabi, but also seamless connections to numerous destinations in Asia, Australia, and Africa. This close collaboration combines the strengths of both networks and opens up additional travel options for our guests, whether for leisure or business,” says Dr. Pierre Dominique Prümm, CCO, Condor.

“We’re delighted to welcome Condor to Abu Dhabi and to strengthen our presence in the German market with this partnership. Our route networks complement each other ideally: together, we offer passengers in Berlin daily flights to Abu Dhabi year-round and convenient connections throughout Etihad’s route network. This partnership is a valuable addition to our offering in Germany, and we look forward to further expanding it together,” says Lena Havia, Vice President Alliances & Joint Ventures at Etihad Airways.
