Eurowings is further expanding its presence at BER in the 2026/2027 winter timetable. The airline is adding two new destinations in Italy, Rome and Bologna, to its route network. In addition, the Lufthansa subsidiary is resuming its service to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. From December, Eurowings will fly to the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, from BER. The additional services will strengthen the capital region’s links to major European cities, leading business centres and important destinations in the Middle East. They will offer travellers more options for business, city breaks, holidays and family trips.
With Rome, Eurowings is adding another European capital to its route network from BER. Flights will operate four times a week on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The Italian capital is one of Europe’s most important cities and, as a political centre, a major business hub and an international tourist destination, it is popular all year round.
Bologna is also a new addition to Eurowings’ route network from BER. Flights to the capital of the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna are now available every Monday, Friday and Sunday. Bologna is one of northern Italy’s leading economic centres and a popular destination for cultural, culinary and city-break travel. As the gateway to Emilia-Romagna, this route also opens up further travel opportunities to northern Italy.
From 25 November, Eurowings will once again be operating daily flights from the capital region to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. Dubai is one of the region’s most important international hubs, attracting both business and leisure travellers. On this route, the airline offers its Premium BIZ Seat, which provides passengers with more space and added comfort.
From 10 December, Eurowings will also be launching a new route from BER to Baghdad, the capital of Iraq. The new route will operate once a week, every Thursday. During the Christmas and New Year period, an additional flight will be added on Tuesdays. As the capital and central seat of government of Iraq, Baghdad is the country’s most important political and economic centre. The new direct route will improve accessibility for travellers on both sides.
In its 2026/2027 winter timetable, Eurowings will also continue to operate several established routes. The German airline’s flights to Lisbon and Porto (Portugal) as well as Bilbao (Spain) will operate twice a week. The airline will fly to festive Edinburgh (United Kingdom) once or twice a week between 4 December and 4 January. Non-stop flights to Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) will return on 20 December and operate twice weekly. Eurowings is further expanding its network to Finnish Lapland with an additional winter destination. From 20 December, Kuusamo will be on the timetable from BER, whilst Rovaniemi and Kittilä will be served more frequently than in the previous season.
In its 2026/2027 winter timetable, Eurowings will serve 38 destinations in 17 countries from BER, offering travellers from the capital region a broad choice of routes for business travel, city breaks, holidays and visits to friends and relatives.
