A total of 2.66 million people travelled through Berlin Brandenburg Airport last October – around 100,000 more passengers than in the same month last year, according to the preliminary figures in the traffic Report.
The autumn holidays ensured busy operations: between 17 October and 2 November, around 1.44 million passengers travelled through BER. The start of the holidays on Friday, 17 October, was the busiest day since the airport opened, with 102,059 passengers.
A total of 18,554 aircraft took off and landed at BER last month. In October 2024, the figure was 18,511 aircraft. Additionally, more than 4,786 tonnes of freight were handled at BER last month, around 1,001 tonnes more than in October 2024.
