BER records 2.45 million passengers in August

3.7 million travelers during the summer holiday period

A total of 2.45 million passengers traveled through Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) in August 2026. This was approximately 10,000 more travelers than in August 2025, representing an increase of 0.4 percent. The busiest day of the month was Sunday, August 2, 2026, when 87,957 passengers used the airport.

The school summer holidays in Berlin and Brandenburg ended on August 23. During the holiday period, approximately 3.7 million passengers traveled via BER.

In the past month, around 16,600 aircraft took off and landed at BER. This was one percent fewer than in the same month last year.

In the air cargo segment, 4,469 tonnes of freight were handled in August. Compared with August 2025, this represents a decrease of 10.3 percent.
