2.5 million passengers traveled through BER in September 

Nearly 360,000 travelers around the Berlin Marathon weekend

In September 2026, a total of 2.5 million passengers traveled through Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER). This was around 5,400 more travelers than in September 2025, representing a slight increase of 0.2 percent.

The busiest day of the month was Friday, September 25, 2026, when 99,182 passengers traveled through BER. The high passenger volume was driven by visitors departing after the InnoTrans trade fair and participants arriving for the Berlin Marathon. Over the entire marathon weekend, from Friday through Monday, nearly 360,000 passengers arrived at or departed from BER.

A total of 17,711 aircraft took off and landed at BER in September. This was 1.2 percent fewer than in the same month last year.

In the air cargo segment, 4,633 metric tons of freight were handled in September. Compared with September 2025, this represents an increase of 4.9 percent.
