Ab heute verbindet Kanadas größte Fluggesellschaft Air Canada die Hauptstadtregion mit der Metropole Montréal. Die neue Route stärkt die Anbindung des Flughafens nach Nordamerika und wird dreimal pro Woche, jeweils mittwochs, freitags und sonntags, angeboten. Während heute der Erstflug mit einer Boeing 787-8 vom BER aus in Richtung Kanada abhob, werden ab dem 19. Juli moderne Airbus A321 XLR (Extra Long Range) zum Einsatz kommen. Damit wird der neue Flugzeugtyp erstmals und regelmäßig auf einer Langstrecke nach Deutschland eingesetzt.

From today, Canada’s largest airline, Air Canada, is connecting the capital region with the city of Montréal. The new route strengthens the airport’s links to North America and will operate three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Whilst today’s inaugural flight took off from BER bound for Canada on a Boeing 787-8, modern Airbus A321 XLR (Extra Long Range) aircraft will be deployed from 19 July. This marks the first time this new aircraft type will be used regularly on a long-haul route to Germany.

Die libanesische Fluggesellschaft Middle East Airlines verbindet den BER ab sofort mit der Hauptstadt Beirut. Die Flugtage am Dienstag, Freitag, Samstag und Sonntag bieten hohe Flexibilität für Besuchsreisen zu Freunden und Verwandten und eignen sich ideal für verlängerte Wochenenden oder längere Aufenthalte. The Lebanese airline Middle East Airlines now operates flights between BER and Beirut. With flights on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, this service offers great flexibility for visiting friends and relatives and is ideal for long weekends or longer stays.
