From 1 June to 7 July, 2023, FBB’s mobile measuring unit was stationed in Tongrubenweg in Müggelheim Nord. The aircraft noise measurements resulted in a continuous aircraft noise level of 45.9 dB(A) during the day and 37.3 dB(A) at night.
In Müggelheim Nord, eastbound takeoffs from the northern runway were measured on the Müggelsee and Erkner routes. The takeoffs generated an average maximum noise level of 65 dB(A). Westbound landings on the northern runway were also be recorded. These generated an average maximum level of 59 dB(A).
Among other things, continuous noise levels are important for determining thresholds when it comes to upholding noise protection measures: Rooms used at night are protected from a continuous sound level of 50 dB(A), while for rooms used during the day the figure is 60 dB(A).
All measured values were well below the claim thresholds for noise protection or compensation measures.
