Handling rain and waste water on the BER site is of particular importance because of the huge area of almost 1,500 hectares. Similarly, this applies to the de-icing of the aircraft and surfaces, which is essential for safe flight operations. Last but not least, the airport company (FBB) is also keeping an eye on BER’s waste balance.
