Diversity

Where diversity is always a priority!

We believe that we can only be strong and achieve our goals together. This calls for everyone, with all their differences, rough edges, the most diverse attitudes, ideas and points of view. Because when we integrate these diverse perspectives into our day-to-day business, we realise our full potential. We want all our employees to be able to be who they are so that this potential can be put into practise. That is why we promote uniqueness and not uniformity.

We value all our employees, because their enthusiasm for our airport is the basis of our success. For this reason, we attach great importance to an open (working) culture in which everyone feels included and valued, regardless of their external or personal characteristics. That is why, as part of our diversity management, initiatives and measures to promote diversity within the company are continuously being developed and refined.

What could be more diverse than a place where more than 75,000 people come together every day? In the terminal, on the apron or in the office: different people with different experiences make BER and the airport company unique.

Diversity is our everyday reality

This self-image is firmly rooted in our Code of Conduct. In workshops and in our annual employee survey, we repeatedly focus on the diversity of our employees. We use this to develop projects to further promote diversity within the company. In addition, we regularly take part in campaigns and events – such as the German Diversity Day.

Everyone is special

We want a working environment that is free from prejudice. This is why we have signed the "Charta der Vielfalt" (Diversity Charter) and work every day to create this environment. You can find more information and our company profile here:

Empowering Women

We attach particular importance to equal career opportunities for women. The women’s advancement plan sets out targets and measures that are regularly evaluated and adjusted. We encourage our female colleagues to exchange ideas across departmental boundaries by way of events such as the internal women’s network.
