The Berlin Senate met at Berlin Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport (BER) on September 26. During a tour of the airport site, Airport CEO Aletta von Massenbach informed the members of the Senate about the development of BER since its opening and future plans of the airport company.
Airport CEO Aletta von Massenbach: "I am very pleased that the entire Senate has visited Berlin Brandenburg Airport. With this, the government of the capital underlines the importance of BER and its commitment to the aviation location. On a tour of the airport today, I had the opportunity to explain to the Governing Mayor, the senators our past and future developments of the airport, the connectivity of BER and also the digitalization of our processes. On the political framework, I heard a great deal of agreement today that predictability and reliability are of central importance. Further improvements in European and intercontinental connectivity is the common concern in order to strengthen the business location of the capital region as a mobility hub."
