Special Olympics World Games in Berlin
Information for Passengers at BER

The Special Olympics World Games will be hosted in Berlin this June. A great many of delegations will travel via BER between 12 and 27 June. This may adversely affect passenger services temporarily during arrival and departure.

The Special Olympics World Games are the world's largest inclusive sporting event. Thousands of athletes with mental and multiple disabilities compete with each other in 26 categories.

The airport company supports this colourful sporting event in the capital region as part of its cooperation to help athletes travel to and from BER with as little stress as possible. Therefore, on certain days public bus stops will be relocated or restrictions to the airport approach may be imposed at Terminal 1 for logistical reasons and to support the athletes.

Passengers can obtain information on arrival and departure at BER via Airport Info and the airport company's website, as well as via social media channels and the BER app.
