Wide-ranging
support

For education, culture, social affairs and sport

In addition to communication and exchange, strengthening regional partnerships and social commitment in the neighbourhood are key elements of our work in the surrounding area. Therefore, as a strong partner we specifically support charitable projects and organisations in the area surrounding the airport. We pay particular attention to working with young people and promoting a wide range of educational, cultural, social and sporting activities.

In addition to financial support in the form of donations or sponsorship, the support offered to people in the airport region also includes the provision of material resources.

Important information on sponsoring and donations 2025 can be found here: Sponsoring and donations 2025

Financial support

Children's football team on the training pitch

We have a limited annual budget available for the promotion of education, culture, social affairs and sport in the BER area. Non-profit organisations can apply in writing to the airport company for funding for specific projects or plans.

The grants are intended to realise a respective project. Examples of projects include the purchase of play and sports equipment and learning materials, or the realisation of educational excursions, school projects and cultural events.

Financial support is usually provided in the form of a donation or sponsorship. In respect of sponsorship, an individual agreement is entered into that provides for the amount of support from the sponsor on the one hand and the consideration from the sponsored party on the other. Consideration from the sponsored party can, for example, be advertising services in the form of jersey or banner advertising or the publication of the sponsor’s logo on websites or print products. Donations, on the other hand, are earmarked contributions for which no consideration is required. The airport company decides on the type of support and the amount of the donation on a case-by-case basis.

Our bouncy castle for your party

A bouncy castle with the BER logo is set up on a meadow. Children bounce on it, adults stand around it.

Whether it's a club, day-care centre, sports or community festival: our in-house bouncy castle has become an integral part of many festivals and events in the BER area.

On request, we can provide the bouncy castle including complete handling and on-site supervision free of charge. The bouncy castle is particularly popular in the summer months and, therefore, is booked out quickly. If you are interested, please send us an e-mail with the completed Registration form (in German).

Exclusive goodies and give-aways

Whether as a competition, donation in kind or for a raffle: we have a wide range of BER promotional materials for young and old, which we select according to the occasion and make available to our partners.

Do you need support?
This is how it works!

When reviewing your application, we ensure compliance with the following requirements:

  • We primarily support associations, institutions and events in the vicinity of Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER).
  • We primarily support children and youth projects as well as charitable or aviation-related projects/organisations.
  • We do not support individuals or political parties.
  • We do not retroactively support projects that have already been completed.
  • No rent, lease or operating costs, or costs for electricity and water supply, will be covered.
  • We strive for partnership-based and sustainable cooperation.

We review each application for the focus, content and objectives of the project and then provide the applying organisation with feedback.

Please submit proof of non-profit status with your application and let us know what services can be rendered in return in the event of sponsorship on your part.

There is no legal entitlement to financial support from the airport company.
